We start early, going for walks. After breakfast and swim, it’s time for the morning session at Carrillo. Lunch is on Mungo’s Sea Promontory, an incredible spot found by Mungo overlooking 2 bays. Just after 5 we head back to Carrillo for sunset and parrilla. The sausages are brutally scorched but say nothing. Next into town and Coco’s bar for good Latin live songs.
On the drive back we hear live music at the nearby La Hula Jungla and stop there. The music is very good, the place packed and great atmosphere. Mungo gamely stays awhile before abandoning me to beers, a Chilean honeymoon couple, and the musicians Alex and Oscar. Somehow I stagger back to the Colibri.
