Schreiberhaus
Another slow day, crowned by the scraping of old paint from the deck table. But around 230pm we escaped by 35 bus to Neustift and this heurigen. Brilliant buntzen, punsch krapfen and florentiner in a beautiful garden. Such is life!
Quiet times
As Mungo’s leg plays up we take it easy. First coffee and nibbles in Kutscher Markt as Mungo picks up glasses and so on. Later I wander up to Turkenschanz and then enjoy spritzes at Diglas.
E-bike St Veit
John and I collect ebikes from Tourism office (Anna) and then ride to St Georgen am See. Visit the stift. Beautiful weather. Mungo meanwhile did an entrepreneur seminar with the Chamber of Commerce in Klagenfurt. Catch 139pm train to Vienna.
Worst walk in the world
Yes, to see Gustav Mahler’s composing hut (closed) and carry on to Reifnitz. Without a mask, and not using a map at key points. Walking on the south of the lake utterly boring!
Pörtschacht
