Maria drives us to catch 1115am ferry from Obersee to Herreninseln. After lunch we take a tour round the Schloss, seeing the amazing rooms and Hall of Mirrors scarcely used by Ludwig. Of 70 rooms 50 are completely bare and unbuilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then walk back to jetty for short ferry to Fraueninseln where we wander around for 40 minutes or so before final ferry back to Obersee and the car. Back at the house we are greeted by the unusual sight of Hartmut in a Maroccan djellaba that he had just located. Mainly dry and overcast day but some rain. Evening dinner turns into an unforgettably mad event, endless bottles die, Harmut kills far too many in duels and tank attacks, and Maria quietly keeps the wine flowing.<\/p>\n\n\n
